When we arrived, we waited for the bus for two hours, but it never stopped because it was full. We decided to walk to the hotel, which was very far. It took us an hour and a half to get there.
When we arrived, the receptionist was not friendly at all. I mentioned that we had walked all the way, and her response was, “You should have taken the bus!” She also said, “Oh, the hotel isn’t far,” even though it clearly was, as we walked for over an hour and a half.
What was even more upsetting was her reaction when I told her that my husband and I were together. She was visibly surprised and side oh you are together!!!! Can be because we are of different ethnicities—I’m not white skinned, and my husband is white. It was very painful and unacceptable.
On a positive note, the restaurant was lovely, and the staff there were kind and welcoming.
However, I urge you to inform the receptionist that her behavior was completely inappropriate. We are in 2025, and times have changed.
