We had a fantastic stay at Trianon Borgo Pio. The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and clean. The room looked modern and had everything we needed for our last 5 days in Rome. We had a family of 6 including my 2 teenage children and my parents in their late 60s. We had a 2 bedroom apartment plus a living room that doubled as an extra bedroom because it had a sofa bed and it’s own door, so it was in essence an extra room. Which was great for privacy for everyone. The kitchen was small but we didn’t really use it anyway. Both washrooms were well stocked and clean. A bit tight in the shower but I’d rather have a small but clean shower rather than a big but gross one. There’s a grocery store just outside the building that is open late so it was very easy to get anything we needed at any time. The building is located across the street from a University, so in the morning during the weekdays there are lots of students outside, but it didn’t really affect our stay. It’s close to Vatican’s St Peter’s square, about a 5min walk. There are lots of restaurants all around so it really was the perfect location to be at. Getting to the other attractions like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain is about a 30min walk or a 15min taxi ride. A beautiful breakfast buffet is included in the price you pay, and it’s on the 7th floor rooftop with a great view of the Vatican, the Basilica and Castel Sant Angelo. The staff was very helpful and spoke English very well. Overall an amazing stay!
