Overall we had a fantastic family holiday at les ormes!
We stayed in the taos, the accommodation and placement were amazing, best we have ever had.
The facilities on site were a very high standard, the dome was fantastic and all the extras such as tree adventures, pony riding etc were great fun and affordable
The chateau is spectacular as are the grounds and we enjoyed wandering around the site or to saint leonard
The one thing that we were very disappointed with was service on arrival, we arrived at 2pm to be told they hoped we could have our accommodation before 5 and we would be contacted. Nobody contacted us so at 3:15 we walked around to the caravans, we knew our numbers from seeing in the envelopes
A les ormes worker told us all the vans were clean and ready, we looked in and they were
Returning to reception we were told they had to be checked
Again we waited then at 4:40 we were again told they were not ready in fact a member of staff called aby was very very rude, without looking at anything she shouted across that the mobile homes would not be ready until 5. So we stayed exactly where we were watching the staff the entire time. Nobody received a call or checked the computer at 5:05 we went forward and any said Ive just received a call from the cleaners that your vans are ready, she had received no such call as I did not take my eyes off her
In our opinion aby had decided we had to wait until 5 even though our vans were ready
This really let down our experience with les ormes on arrival
Its only the fact that we know the family and Olivier from previous visits over the last 30 years that we know aby is a rare rude member of staff but feel you should be aware of the way she treated us
Other than that we were thrilled with our stay and would certainly recommend and be back

As for your welcome, we are sorry that the wait gave you such an impression. Indeed, the person you mentioned is a very professional person, who simply follows the procedures. We assure you that the waiting was justified.
We would like to point out that the accommodation is picked up at 5pm, as the cleaning company does a tour of our accommodation in the afternoon. People then come by to check that the cleaning has been done properly, and this usually takes a good afternoon given the number of accommodations on site.
Perhaps the person in question was then called into the office behind reception, which you would not have seen, or perhaps they were sent a message. The procedure may indeed be long before the accommodation keys are given out, but it is necessary. That is why we ask for kindness towards our staff. We thank you for your patience.
As far as waiting is concerned, we often recommend that our residents take advantage of the on-site facilities and swimming pools while waiting for accommodation to be taken.
However, we will take your opinion into account and report it to the reception to understand what happened on that day.
