ABBA RAMBLA HOTEL

Cet hôtel est très confortable -les chambres sont très propres et calmes -double vitrage -Nous avons apprécié la bouilloire les infusions l-le petit nécessaire à toilette complet (avec même un peigne ,une brosse à dents et dentifrice! ) Le wifi fonctionne parfaitement ! Cet hôtel possède un parking ( rare et appréciable en centre ville.! Il est bien situé pour les visites touristiques de la ville .(Attention cependant : il est sur la Rambla RAVAL qui n'est pas la Rambla principale ... on doit parcourir environ 600 m à pied pour retrouver l'atteindre ainsi que le métro mais c'est facile ! )Seuls bémols 1-le petit déjeuner est certes très très bien garni mais les produits ne sont gustativement de basse qualité médiocre - on en souhaiterait moins mais meilleurs ! 2°bémol - L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier un peu trouble-on y rencontre beaucoup de groupes de personnes douteuses qui traînent dans la rue .Cependant notre expérience reste positive et nous y reviendrions avec plaisir

Great location and wonderful staff

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It is an easy walk to to major sites. The neighborhood was a little seedy, but we had no problems. We took advantage of the bicycles for rent at the hotel and took an easy ride to the waterfront, spent an afternoon at the beach, and toured some of the parks nearby. Overall a good value and a very pleasant stay.

Our room was very clean with excellent lighting throughout. (Many places we stay do not have enough lighting. This had perfectly bright overhead lights as well as bedside lights and good controls.) The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was very clean as well and had plenty of counter space. The bath towels were very large and of nice thickness. We appreciated the water heater to make coffee and tea in the room, and appreciated the fridge. Could have used some drawers or more shelf space if we'd been staying longer than a few nights, but it was fine for 3 nights. The room had a small safe. Amenities like shampoo, soap, sewing kit, etc. were provided, along with some higher end hotel amenities such as a pants press and a make-up mirror. I would have liked a plug next to the head of the bed, but there were an adequate number of plugs throughout the room. The room was quite warm and we left the window/door open when we were there except when sleeping. We were unable to get the heating/cooling system to cool, despite following the directions under the control panel. It only blew out more warm air. In summer this may be more of an issue. We didn't inquire about it as we were able to adapt fine. The Wifi was difficult to stay connected to, particularly with our iPads. I don't know if it might have been because we tried both of our iPads and phones at the same time. Seemed better when just one of us was using it and we turned off wifi on our other items. It is definitely very noisy on the street throughout the night. Even until 3 or 4 in the morning. I was able to sleep through it without needing earplugs, as it's a somewhat consistent noise of people. We experienced this at another Barcelona hotel we stayed at as well, and from my reading it sounds like this is pretty typical throughout the city. We would hear doors slamming from nearby rooms. I don't know if it was inconsiderate people, or if the suction of open windows just tended to do that to doors if you weren't careful. The hotel is on Ravel Rambla and near the Fernando Botero Cat. This area of Ravel had lots of middle eastern food stores and eateries. There's a nearby street with 2nd hand shops (mostly clothing) which I would have liked to spend more time looking through... love those kind of deals). Location-wise it is a short walk to the Paral-lel Metro & Funicular to head up to Montjuic and also a short walk to the well known "Las Ramblas". It was maybe a 15 min. walk to Placa Catalunya where you can pick up the Aerobus - to get to and from airport. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel. The people at the front desk were helpful. There were welcome drinks of cava and lemon water and orange water. It has an elevator as well as wide stairs. I'd be very happy staying there again.

Personal extrem hilfsbereit und freundlich; Lage sehr angenehm: Rooftopbar in unmittelbarer Nähe, viele kleine nette Bars in Steinwurfweite. Kurzer Weg zur Rampla und Barri Gotic.
Matratzen könnten erneuert werden, Sprungfedern z. T. spürbar

Hôtel bien situé dans le coeur du quartier de la Rambla, ambiance sympathique et petit déjeuner excellent.
