There was no air conditioning, but it didn't kill me and sleeping was very comfortable because I had a fan and two windows which fully opened. It's difficult to sleep in air-conditioned hotels because they DON'T have fans. Being able to open the windows made all the difference in the world and nighttime temperatures (in July) were very pleasant.
However, it should be advertised. I would have stayed there anyway. I love the old-fashioned feel of the building and rooms, and the staff was very friendly. The bed was so much better than my own.
I disliked being charged for the full bill upon check-in. I ended up paying for breakfast on my final day without being there to eat it. I was refused a refund even when the error was brought to the desk attendants attention two days before. The breakfasts I did eat were outstanding. Checking out early (not that I needed to) wasn't allowed. That should be advertised too.
