Art Hotel Paris Est

Not so much of a hotel in the traditional sense - classed as an 'Aparthotel' and so small studio apartments with a bedroom, living space, private bathroom and kitchenette. No daily housekeeping, unless you pay the extra fee. No breakfast included (basic, brought to the room), extra fee if you request. I just bought food from the local supermarket, the bakery and ate out for the rest.
Slightly confusing layout: reception on ground floor/main entrance (seems to be 24 hours, relatively secure), another small reception space (actual hotel - not 24 hours) on the first floor. Hotel building seems to be shared with other residences... The level of customer service was variable/mixed - I felt some staff members struggled - slight confusion over my room number on arrival, payment and some other details. This was eventually resolved. They were mostly pleasant depending on who I was talking to. I did find some individuals a bit rude and irritable (reception, housekeeping...). Some slight communication difficulties, again, certain staff members seemed to have varying ability in English/French. However, it was not a huge issue.
I agree that there was a strange odour (musty, food smells...?) in the corridors and hallways with some badly stained/dirty carpet in places (6th floor). Rooms are fairly spacious and are decent/acceptable quality (slightly dated) for the price which is affordable for Paris. Some things did not work at all, such as lights/lamps in the kitchen area and one near the bed and the microwave was temperamental. The level of cleaning could do with improving - quite dirty, mouldy and dusty in areas, although mostly acceptable and clean linen. Wi-fi was quite slow, and a safe would have been nice... Some complimentary items provided. Originally booked a double room but ended up with two twins put together which was a bit uncomfortable, however I managed. Would have preferred a double bed/mattress...
A major negative was the level of noise during most parts of the day and even late at night, for instance, the horrendous grating sound of the damaged elevator door opening and closing. This could really do with being repaired...
In addition, noisy residents in neighbouring apartments (thin walls) and constant movement in the corridors made it difficult to sleep. It meant I only got a decent sleep part of my stay (stayed 9 nights). Luckily, I was mostly out of the room during the day.
Hotel is located in one of the bordering suburbs, Pantin. It has a nice bustling town centre with plenty of shops, restaurants and amenities, and it is relatively safe. However, I would take extra caution at night as it can be quite intimidating walking through certain areas - groups gathering on pavements, individuals or touts trying to sell you things on the street. Good transport links to the city centre - metro (15-20mins), bus and tram.
Hotel is suitable for shorter stays or when you are not spending much time in your room. Otherwise, you may want to stay somewhere else... Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

Propre et confortable

Pour une nuit, c'était très bien, nous étions proche du zénith où nous allions voir un concert. La literie pourrait être de meilleure qualité sinon RAS le séjour s'est bien passé

Super séjour a Paris, Hotel intéressant très bon concert de Deluxe au Zenith

Nous ne comprenons pas cette variation de prix de 59€ à 3 semaines d'écart ceci nous faisant reconsidérer notre souhait de revenir dans votre structure.
