Charging guesst before they even see their room
Is not a good idea. Yes some people may have ripped you off and you want tom deter others, but in my view it is a destructive policy. It breaks the sense of trust between guest and hotel. It tells me that getting your hands on the grubby euros is more important than my experience. In the morning your staff have to run and check that everything is ok in the room before we were allowed to go. That's all very poor.
It's your decision to do this but it is mine to never stay in your hotel again! I would not recommend you to any of my colleagues, associate or friends. And you're too expensive for the rather mediocre hotel that you've created.

In general, the stay was great. Only the bathroom was too tight in our room 414 and it has no hangers.

Staff was friendly and hotel was nice and clean

Good Location and a nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. The only feedback I have is to make it more clear that smoking is not allowed on the balcony in the middle of the hotel; we got a warning that smoking is not allowed and if we did it again we would be charged €100 if we did it again (we smoked on the balcony and threw the cigarettes away in the trash). It would be good if you put up signs.
