Château de la Caze

Beautiful castle in beautiful setting. The best place we stayed during our trip to France. Dinners were amazing and the setting added a majestical feel.

Wonderful chateau in the Gorge du Tarn

Great location and comfortable suite with a splendid view. The occasion was spoilt by the poor service at both Dinner and Breakfast time.
We were travelling through France, Italy and Switzerland and this was the only hotel were we met poor service.

Our thoughts were, to use an English expression: 'whilst the cats away the mice will play' There was one particular surly and unhelpful member of staff.

Hôtel et parc impeccablement tenu.
Restaurant n'hésitant pas à élaborer un menu particulier et personnalisé afin de répondre aux attentes spécifiques de ses hôtes en matière de gastronomie.
Un hôtel que nous avons plaisir à recommander.

Here is my review from trip advisor:
My husband and I spent a magical night at Chateau de la Caze in September. Everything was special about this castle, from the amazing drive through the Gorges du Tarn to the serenely beautiful setting of the castle. We were greeted by a sweet and energetic young woman who astounded us by carrying our heavy bag all the way up the stairs to our room. We had the Bertrand room, which has the bathroom in a tower and a lovely outside terrace facing the river. However, it looks as though almost every room would be wonderful here. Furnishings seemed like real antiques, which we appreciated as it enhanced the truly beautiful building. We truly felt like royalty for a night.

We ate dinner in the hotel, which I would highly recommend, as otherwise it would be a dark and scary ride to any nearby restaurant (if you could even find one!). The food, service and presentation were efficient and professional. One small concern was the wine recommendation: luckily I checked the price before ordering and found that it was one of the most expensive on the menu. We chose an alternative that was fine.

One really special part of our stay was at checkout. Another very helpful and friendly young woman at the desk (whose name I have forgotten, unfortunately) helped us to plan our route to Saint Remy-de-Provence from the Chateau. Since the roads are few and it is a very remote area, we were quite concerned about getting lost or stuck on a dangerous road. She was kind enough to take the time to draw us an accurate and detailed route, right down to the number of round-abouts we would go through on each step of the way until we reached the main highway. (see the attachment) It was so appreciated, and we found our way with no problems.

We would definitely return to this wonderful spot and highly recommend it to others looking for an authentic and tranquil experience.

Es un buen hotel para estar de relax, ciñéndose a las pocas comodidades que ofrecen un entorno tan apartado y la propia cultura francesa en cuanto a horarios. Por suerte el hotel compensa en parte estas limitaciones.

This was an extraordinary stay for us and we were not disappointed. The wifi did not reach our room, however, which was an inconvenience.
