Continental Hotel Budapest

This is a real find. A bit off the beaten track but this adds to the experience. Restaurant a bit pricey but a fantastic Italian next door. Will be checking in again!

"Great but a few blemishes..."

The staff are wonderful both friendly and attentive. The hotel is beautifully appointed with its grand brass 1ton revolving door which is the entrance to the lobby area which is adorned with plush leather sofas, designer lamps and a black grand piano. As can imagine this then is not a cheap hotel! The pool area 'wellness centre' is also equally as stylish with its grass topped roof and luxury garden furniture, We found out that our room did not include use of this and where promptly charged 6€ for our visit.

Happly our breakfast was included and this was another highlight: plentyful selection of pastries, bread, fruit and cooked items (egg,sausage, bacon, pancakes etc) washed down with fruit juice and coffee by the snappy machines... We also ate at azar on Wednesday for the BBQ which is a must if staying on that day a welcome drink and cocktail get you started and then you are treated to a wonderful selection of soup and salad starters, BBQ'd meats and an array of desserts to finish.

Moving on to the blemishes our room was quite compact especially the bathroom, while there was free wifi coverage throughout the hotel it was painfully slow and had no coverage on the roof by the pool. Not having the wellness centre included in our stay was abit annoying and I would have liked to have known this in advance. Finally the location while not far from the nearest tram/metro stop and having the 78 bus pass the front it is abit out on a limb and is some distance esp. If walking from the main part of town!

Despite the few flaws the hotel has we would defiantly stay here again and recommend it!

En mi opinión Zara tiene mas estrellas de las que merece. El agua salia por el deshague del baño. La nevera no enfriaba, el olor a comida recién levantado no era bueno. La bañera demasiado alta y casi tenemos un accidente. El mando de la televisión no funcionaba bien. El ascensor nos hacia perder mucho tiempo.

Hotel muy bien situado cerca de la sinagoga y a 10 minutos a la conocida Vaci Uca.
EL personal muy amable, las habitaciones espaciosas y moderana y el desayuno muy completo.
El unico inconveniente es que el primer dia te carguen la Visa por un posible consumo en el mini bar de la habitacion.

Hotel assolutamente da consigliare sia per posixione che per ospitalità! essenziali nel momento del bisogno e il centro benessere con la piscina outdoor infinity sui tetti di budapest è più che spettacolare! Amazing!

El hotel como insatalaciones y limpieza en general bien, pero la valoración no es muy positiva, pues el personal de recepción es antipático. Por otro lado, hemos tenido algunos problemas, ya que hicimos dos reservas por separado y a pesar de informarlo y entregar los documentos de confirmación de ambas reservas a la llegada, se pensaban que nos íbamos antes y nos desactivaron las tarjetas del hotel e hicieron limpieza de la habitacion hasta el punto que quitaron cosas que teníamos en la nevera de la habitación que ya no aparecieron. Nos atendió el mànager y él si fue amable. Por otro lado, cuando llegamos al Hotel, en recepción nos pidieron la tarjeta de crédito para cobrarnos 60 € de depósito por si consumiamos algo del minibar, etc. Al marchar del Hotel pedimos que nos descontaran este importe en la factura ya que no habiamos consumido nada pero nos dijeron que no nos habian llegado a cobrar los 60 € de depósito. No obstante hemos comprobado después que si nos habían cobrado dicho importe.
