The hotel is not fully convenient for business trip (no proper area to sit with computer and work, no desk/chair in the room).
Some services - way too expensive (doctor - 100 EUR?!)
In general - OK.

Great Hotel in great area, staff were excellent. One day I didn't leave room until 3 pm and when I came back it was clean and beds changed etc! Great service. The coolest bar in Budapest called Szimpla is only a short stroll away and a very nice restaurant next to hotel too! This place gets a thumbs up from me :-)

I think we had the best hotel in Budapest, if we ever come back to the city we surely stay in Zara again

We loved the Continental Zara. We stayed for 4 nights. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite after noticing an offer on Trip Advisor. The lobby looks really nice. The check-in was swift, our room was ready even though we were early. The suite was lovely – a huge bathroom with both a tub and a shower cubicle, a nice couch in front of the TV, two comfy chairs plus a desk and a very nicely decorated bedroom (with another TV). The only thing we missed was some more wardrobe space to hang clothes and hide our shoes. Since it’s summer it wasn’t a big issue though.

The pool was great (especially with the hot weather we had every day!), both the indoor and the outdoor. The sauna’s wasn’t big but that was ok, we were always the only ones in there. We had a massage during “happy hour” and it was very relaxing! Unfortunately the spa was under renovation. We knew before check-in that the wellness area was closed our first day, but the spa stayed closed for the whole duration of our stay. Would have been nice to use it too.

We had our friends over (who were staying at another hotel) on the BBQ night in restaurant Araz. They were really impressed by the hotel and also the food and wine.
We had drinks in the “Gallery” –bar, nice couches and the Olympics on TV, very good. The breakfast buffet was good – that was actually the only time that you noticed there was a lot of people staying at the hotel – it never felt crowded by the pool or in the lobby. Check-out was really quick.

We wished there would have been an ice machine so you wouldn’t have to order room service to get ice, but at least when the ice arrived (very quick) it was a huge bucket.

The staff was always friendly.

We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends as it is not only a very nice hotel, but it is also situated in a great neighborhood (lots of great garden pubs and restaurants in the vicinity), with easy access to the city (we walked everywhere). We hope to get back to Budapest soon!

A well run hotel with good staff at reception. The hotel is well positioned. We would have used the restaurant if the meals had been cheaper.

The staff was really nice and gentle. Our room was cute and the decor superb
