My travelling partner and I thought that the Continental Hotel Zara was an excellent base from which to explore Budapest and an extremely pleasant place to be if staying in is more your thing. The service really was the best bit for us and the friendly but polite and professional staff were better than any I have ever encountered before at home (UK) or abroad. Felt very comfortable there, very convenient and would definitely stay there if visiting Budapest again. Would expect to pay far more for this standard of quality so excellent value.

A very nice and niced priced hotel - really value for money. Actual modern in style and in service. Nice and effective. The Hotel is placed in a upcoming quarteir which hopefully will devellop further in the years to come (and I think - it can turn into little Berlin). Much more cosy and fun quartier than the area close to Vici and Fashion street - even though it is placed 10 min walk away from them - with a lot of energy - garden and swi´mmingpool on the roof - very nice.

overall very good experience. very good service, beautiful hotel and rooftop pool and wellness area are excellent, also very reasonable price.

though a few things to note.

1) bathrobes in room would have been greatly appreciated.
2)cleaning of room and replacing/hanging up and folding towels was not as thorough as it could have been.
3)should inform guests of city tax at check-in. as in my case i was checking out and did not have any forint to spare so had to pay on my debit card which incurs an international fee.

een typisch zakelijk hotel, goede kamer en vooral badkamer, vriendelijk personeel. Hartje centrum op 15-20min loopafstand, OV in de buurt. Zwembad prima, ontbijt met binnen en ook in de tuin, uitstekende keuze.

Relativly good location, room good but very small, wellnsee area very small acording the size of Hotel, Concierge/reception clrerk in general must be more objective.

We loved Hotel Continental Zara, the building itself has been beautifully restored and the staff were v helpful. On our last day we were allowed to keep the room for 2hrs after the usual check out date. This was very much appreciated. We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine & fruit basket.
