Continental Hotel Budapest

Great city break, plenty to see and do with a comfy, welcoming hotel for a base.

The only thing is we were locked out of our room on New Years Eve. We understood the problem but felt we should have been offered something as an apology, drinks or a refund/discount etc. We had to sit and have our drinks in the hall while waiting for the keys to work, and my phone was in the room and I missed phone calls from my family which was very disappointing.

Other than that it was wonderful

Good room, good service and good breakfast. Overall, very pleasant stay

We was greeted by Janos who was a gentlemen and helped me and my Mrs with our bags.

All the hotel staff was friendly and we highly recommend this hotel.

It's not really very good. A lot of things need addressing, plumbing, switch button on lift replaced was missing, curtains in first room, towels could be renewed very thin. Key cards not working. Hot drinks in room replenished everyday we pay a daily fee for the service and some days alot more so I would expect the same service

Im Großen und Ganzen handelt es sich um ein sehr, sehr schönes Hotel, das in vielen Bereichen überzeugt. Allerdings gab es einige Aspekte, die meinen Aufenthalt getrübt haben:

Der Frühstücksraum war während meines Aufenthalts extrem voll und sehr laut, was das Frühstückserlebnis weniger angenehm gemacht hat. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie hätte ich mir hier ein entspannteres Ambiente gewünscht.

Ein größeres Problem ergab sich in der Nacht von Silvester auf Neujahr: Unsere Zimmerkarte funktionierte plötzlich nicht mehr. Leider waren wir nicht die Einzigen, die betroffen waren. Es dauerte rund eine halbe Stunde, bis uns ein Mitarbeiter mit einem Notfallgerät die Zimmertür öffnen konnte. Für diesen Vorfall hätte ich mir eine Entschuldigung und eine kleine Entschädigung oder einen Preisnachlass gewünscht, vor allem angesichts des ohnehin nicht günstigen Zimmerpreises.

Das Hotel hat viele Vorzüge, doch solche organisatorischen Pannen sollten in dieser Preisklasse nicht passieren.
