First room. 3rd floor. Completely cramp. No night stands based on pictures. Totally disappointed with the room. Small sized, felt cramp. Bathtub high , slippery dangerous. Should be Soap for shower , bath and sink use. Not enough towels. No washcloths.
Smelly. Mold. Cramp quarters.
Room close to the elevators. Offer us a allegedly upgrade. Gathering they took all that space from this long skinny balcony.
With our upgrade 629 for additional 25 euro a day. Bathroom now smaller??? Why??? Felt like I was in a camper or a boat. Bad bad bad smell in the room almost like old Mold, or dirty sock smells . Salon room no usable electrical outlits, mini bar annoying. We had to empty out all the minibar items in order to put our beverages and food that we had pre-bought very Small and difficult to manage.
Giant stump black cabinet that we kept tripping on. Bad Feng shui. When you open the sliding doors to of the closet it made all kinds of noises.
First day I was on the roof in the back area and I have all kinds of funny smells. One from the smell of cooked eggs to sewerage odor. It was not very pleasant. I mentioned it to the girl that sits at the desk upstairs and gives out the towels. She says yes we hear that complaint all the time. Also they are very stingy with the towels I was disappointed with that too she handed us one and I shouldn't have to ask for a second. When I lay out I want to towel to put on my chair both for the head and the bottom half. They seemed overly concerned for towels. The Pools are a total disappointment , not deep to do any real water aerobics which I was looking forward to doing, and not long to do laps. The whole thing felt like a prefab sardine can. It also made no sense that it was above water and we had to take steps up. Also one latter only for both pools. The Ground of the pools was uncomfortable to walk on. Felt like soldered medal. Pre fab garbage in my opinion. It felt like being in a sardine can. It even included the rust stains in the indoor one.
I hated the Breakfast. For such an expensive beautiful hotel versus breakfast was a disappointmen. Processed eggs? Nothing felt homemade. Even their student exhibition Chef was hidden in the corner didn't notice it till the last day after I ate. Also I found it annoying that there was only One toilet in the bathroom Upstairs ? Makes no sense. I used the facilities and twice I got disturb.
Also in the bathroom the Square toilet seats not comfortable , square sinks annoying too Water splashing everywhere. I kind of had a love hate relationship with this hotel. It was a statically pleasing but it felt more like a museum piece and The inside didn't really match the outside. and it was in a funky neighborhood that gave it ain't old old old world charm. Overall price value I felt like I got ripped off. I paid nearly $250 a night plus an extra €25 for the three night upgrade per night. Did not feel like I got my moneys worth. Felt based on the occupancy rate that the prices were gouged. I don't want to compare apples to oranges but to $250 would've got me the finest suite on the 56 floor of the encore hotel Las Vegas on a holiday weekend. Would've been a lot more space and a lot more amenities. Overall the price/ value was not worth it. I had spoken to another couple and they were staying at the Sofitel hotel. I asked what they paid nightly and to my surprise I was shock to hear that they said it was less than $100. We chose not to eat in the restaurant because we were so disappointed with breakfast. One night we did get a recommendation from your front desk clerk to go out for nice dinner authentic Hungarian dinner. Evidens I believe was the name. place was fabulous! Thank you for the great recommendation.

The staff was very accommodating. I especially want to commend the concierge who helped me locate and send back to me a personal item left in my room. She acted promptly and resolved the situation. Thank you for having such an honest staff.

It was a very unpleasant experience for many reasons, from unpleasant staff to a poor shape room!
