My overall experience was extremely positive. The hotel decor was very tasteful and had a luxurious feel while still be welcoming for everyone. We checked in very late, a group of 6, and your reception staff was very welcoming and did not at all seem to be affected by the late hour. Several times, we asked for recommendations about bars, things to do, tours and the reception staff helped us a lot. If I had to point out things you could improve on, there are two specific things: 1) The bar - I'm sure you can do better on the drinks. We had two different cocktails and both of them did not meet the standard of the hotel. My espresso martini had a very thin, watery taste, which was a shame since I had high expectations. Unfortunately, one of the bartenders had a little accident and he spilled a glass of prosecco across the table and a lot of it on my shoes and on me. Of course it was an accident, but I found it out of place to include a 10% service charge on my bill after that. 2) When I checked out of the hotel, I was asked by one of your staff if a taxi was needed, to which I answered yes. I asked for a 6 person taxi at 2.15pm. When the time arrived, we went outside and were driven to the airport in a large, black Mercedes, which I assume is one of the hotel's private cars. A few minutes into the trip, the chauffeur informed us that the trip to the airport would be 12 000F and we we were all very surprised since the trip from the airport to the hotel was 7000F. I understand that this is your private airport service, and it is probably a great service for those who request it, but this was not what I asked for. If I had been asked beforehand if we wanted a normal taxi or the private shuttle, I would have chosen a taxi. So please make sure you ask your guests if they're okay with paying extra for private shuttle - because I'm sure it's nice if you want that extra service, but when it comes as a surprise, it just becomes a negative experience.
