Disappointed with Poor Communication and Inflexible Service
I booked a double room at this hotel on the same day as my planned stay and specifically requested an additional bed for my son. This was clearly mentioned during the booking. However, I was only informed via email at 4:00 PM on the day of my arrival that the hotel could not accommodate this request due to all extra beds being used in other rooms.
Unfortunately, I was driving all day and unable to respond to the email in time. Given the late notice and the fact that the room would not meet our needs, I decided not to stay. When I requested a full refund for the no-show, I was told this would not be possible because the hotel would not have been able to re-sell the room — despite the fact that they only notified me of the issue via email late in the day.
I find this response unacceptable. If the hotel knew earlier that extra beds were unavailable, they should have called me to discuss it. This lack of communication left me with no reasonable options and no time to make alternate arrangements. I essentially paid for a service the hotel couldn’t provide, and their refusal to offer a refund adds to the frustration.
Not a customer-first approach at all, and I would not consider staying here again.
