I was disappointed in Dorint Sulzbach this time around - it's normally a great hotel for my business trips. The air conditioning was not working so I alerted the front desk who sent maintenance up. Maintenance wasn't able to fix it and I was stuck for two nights in a hot room and was unable to sleep. When I asked reception for a partial refund for the lack of optimal stay, I was denied.
thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. I am sorry to hear that your stay was not a comfortable one this time around and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, I would like to take the opportunity to respond to the points you raised:
The air condition works. However, in fall and winter the air condtion unit is switched to heating, not cooling. This is necessary as otherswise the rooms are too cold as the outside temperature is much cooler, too. If still too warm in a room, we suggest to simply open the window.
As in the duration of your stay, I can only see you were staying for one night, not two. Perhaps there is an oversight.
Regarding the refund, I think there has been a misunderstanding. My colleague did offer you a partial refund and removed the breakfast from your bill after you asked for a free stay - a request we unfortunately cannot meet.
Once again I am sorry that your stay was not to your satisfaction.
