There was constant construction outside starting at 5am.

This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel. We had deposited luggage during the first stay a week before but could not collect during checkin as they were unable to locate our luggage and informed to wait till next morning. We were worried that night whether luggage was lost and could not sleep well.

There was also some confusion in our 2nd night stay made in a separate booking which has been prepaid online but was asked to pay at hotel. Fortunately, our prepaid booking was found but took 20mins to sort out.

It will be good to have a kettle & hotel slippers in the room without the need to request.

Will also like to commend on Abdulai’s service and friendliness. We were welcomed with his warm and friendly attitude after a tiring train ride

I am very happy with my stay at Excelsior by Geisel. The hotel is cozy and clean, and I am picky with hotels. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, there is a restaurant attached to the hotel which seemed like a great place to eat and have a glass of wine although I did not eat there during my stay. We selected the package with the breakfast included and it was beyond worth it to us, the breakfast had a great selection and we really enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is great, you are right next to the Hauptbahnhof station and it is very easy to take a tram or underground train to all different places. We chose to walk to Marienplatz everyday, it took about 12 minutes to walk there but was a straight shot and very easy. The only thing to note is there was a lot of construction when we went so when we did call an Uber, many cancelled or were delayed or ended up a block away due to the detours, we just decided to walk to another hotel two blocks away to call the Uber. There was a Rewe grocery store directly next to our hotel which was awesome because it has everything and the prices are great. We picked up chocolate and jam to take home and extra waters for the room. You’re also directly next to the 25 hours hotel which has the Boilerroom bar and it is so cool. It’s an awesome cocktail bar with a great atmosphere and amazing drinks. Overall I highly recommend and we were so happy with our stay!

A wonderful experience to say the least. The staff are ever so ready to help you through. The old town is within a walking distance and the shopping area as well. The room is spacious and comfy. The reception is so warm and welcoming. I would definitely come again if I ever visited Munich.

It was good, but the maid service didn't happen as we requested. (3rd day). We notified the front desk and the room cleaning occurred on the 4th day.

Room was so small that we couldn't move, if I want to open suitcase, my husband has to sit on the bed.
