We went as a family last year and enjoyed ourselves so much, we booked this year during ski week and encouraged friends to join us. This second experience was vastly different, mostly owing to the rudeness of the staff. They were very unfriendly and seemed annoyed most of the time. I wanted to get wine for example in the bar and asked about the selection. The woman was exasperated and rude. One night we ate in the bar and one order was forgotten. I asked three different waitstaff about it. Each time, I was waved off with, "It's coming" but it never did. The order was simply forgotten about. This happened multiple times over the course of our stay. Every morning I would ask for milk for my coffee. The person would nod and say okay but never brought the milk- not once. Perhaps there was temporary staff during ski week who were not well trained, but it made for a very unpleasant vacation.
I thank you for this feedback and we take your comments into account, which will enable us to make progress.... I recognize that the evolution of the hotel, by doubling its capacity, has been a bit disruptive to us, but we make a point of perpetuating the tradition of the Collomb family's hospitality. We do our utmost to keep the warm and attentive welcome for which we are famous, but your feelings make me understand that we still have to improve. Please accept our sincerest apologies.
I can only hope to welcome you again soon.
Very warmly,
Sandrine - community manager
