A great hotel is a combination of a place itself (amenities, looks, surroundings) and people (staff, service quality). In this case, 1st part was above expectations and I would give a very high note (although there was a small imperfection about bathroom cleaning, but in general the room was amazing). Nevertheless, the staff/service part spoiled the whole impression. Clearly not everyone should be working in the front office (like murmurring behind people's back and making disguisted faces when having to deal with people coming with requests). I understand that everyone needs to learn, but in such an exposed position and lack of basic people skills this has to be done under supervision. I loved the hotel itself, but the situation with the front desk officer totally spoiled my impression.
