At first, the name was a bit puzzling, but it turned out to be more than just a figure of speech; it reflects the hotel's genuine history linked to the Berlin Film Festival. The creative design of the public areas—featuring photographs, original posters, and studio props—is tasteful and possesses a touch of museum-like charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with impeccable cleanliness and order—quintessentially German—and the "pillow menu" was a real highlight. The staff are friendly and helpful. It offers excellent value for money. And above all, there is the vibe of the heart of West Berlin—an atmosphere that, fortunately, has endured all these years after the fall of the Wall. Highly recommended.
