Good location, pleasant and helpful staff, reception and seating area very good but cost too high for our room as described above

I was very disappointed overall, as the photos online were seemingly very deceiving. The hallways, room, and bathroom were all very worn, tired, and dated. The beds were rock hard, the pillows were very thick and high, and the sheets were horrible cheap polyester so VERY hot... making our nights most uncomfortable, and all under the allure of a '4 star' hotel?! The room was not sound proofed, and as we were on the 2nd floor street facing, I could barely sleep and had to use tissue paper from the bathroom as ear plugs. The charging point beside my bed did not work, and there was no power point in the bathroom whatsoever! The hair dryer in the bathroom looked like something from the 1950's and I could have blown with more force than it had. The Airconditioning unit was old and loud, and smelt dirty. My partner and I both got sick, and sleeping with said aircon on we are hardly surprised. The service counter were not welcoming or friendly beyond bare minimum, and did not offer any advice regarding what to do/where to go. When I came down to request softer pillows I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. I would not stay here again, and not only would I not recommend this hotel, I will actively encourage others to avoid it. The star rating needs to drop to 3 at best, and the prices need to drop in reflection of this.

We use this hotel because of its location. Compared to local prices it is reasonable value for money but the general shabbiness of the infrastructure is disappointing and at time annoying, especially when fittings are poorly maintained / not updated. Perhaps more money could be spent on getting the basics right. I come from the far east. Hotels less rated than this one (you are rated 4 star) are superior in quality of infrastructure, general attention to customer care and price. Perhaps any member of staff in your organisation who has been to Thailand, Bali, Singapore and stayed in an equivalently priced hotel might be able to provide useful feedback.

Bad the first two days. Satisfactory the last three days.

Look at comments about bathroom. Hotel looks tired and needs upgrade. Curtains in the room are hard to move. The window doors get stuck on carpet. Hard to find parking and no help in parking cars.
