Really poor. I also emailed the hotel in advance to say that I was returning with my mum who had stayed there on honeymoon and that she had been ill for the last three months - hoping that you would make an effort to make our stay more enjoyable. No one replied to this email. I called the day before arrival and spoke to a lady - I again stated the above and hoped that we would be looked after. We werent. The room was appalling on size, amenities and the fact that the outside noise made sleeping impossible. We were not informed on arrival that the bar was closed only one evening when we returned and were told there was no hotel bar. The fact that we subsequently learned the hotel was full is not an excuse - the room wasnt fit for purpose and should not have been sold. Also the fact that its a listed building and you are trying to get the noise issue sorted again is not an excuse. The room shouldnt have been sold - I do not expect to stay in a hotel and not be able to sleep. The break was supposed to help my mum recuperate in-fact it did the opposite.
Really really disappointed and expect a refund for the room not being fit for purpose.
