Terrible experience. Booked via booking.com, apparently credit card did not work although all the rest of my hotel bookings were fine except for Hotel Bristol. They claimed to have emailed me 2 days prior to arrival, however I did not receive any communication from Hotel Bristol nor calls to verify. I arrived at the hotel at 3.30pm to know that my booking was cancelled at 12 noon on the same day. On my way to the hotel, my booking was still valid on booking.com app as I used it for directions. Upon arriving and informing me that my booking was cancelled the FO staff made no attempt to resolve the issue and charged me a walk in rate of 700CHF instead of the original 524CHF for the SAME ROOM. Horrible experience, will never stay there nor recommend to any one, the LEAST a hotel could do is to call the guest if they did not receive an response via email. No ownership nor accountability, very disappointed.

Professionelles Personal, zuvorkommend und freundlicher Service. Das Hotel befindet sich in ausgezeichneter Lage, wenige Fussminuten vom Hauptbahnhof, Shopping und Restaurants entfernt. Das Preis - Leistungsverhaeltnis ist ausserordentlich und ich kann das Hotel Bristol gerne weiterempfehlen.

Practical for a business trip, though a bit noisy due to construction nearby.

The hotel is in an excellent position for access to the city centre either by walking or a short tram/bus ride. The staff are multilingual & greet you in a very friendly manner. The only downside was a room that was a little small for 2 people & what should've been a quiet room at the rear overlooking a laneway was spoiled by a building site barely 30 metres away. But despite this I will recommend the hotel.
