Cosy hotel which does luckily not look like all the major hotel chains.

Nice with all the art around the hotel - although most of it was not really to my liking.

Super service throughout. We stayed one night, went for a four day trek and came back for a couple more nights - and were happy that we could leave some of our luggage at the hotel while we were away.

The team was very helpful and welcoming. We had a couple of travel issues and the front desk staff took on the request very professional and quickly. Monica was the stand out staff member

The hotel was not what I expected from previous internet reviews. The furnishings, carpets, towels, blow dryer, tv and overall appearance were in real need of refresh and updating (carpets frayed, towels thin and rough, blow dryer only worked for a few seconds and then shut off, tv never found any channels, USB charging station on right side of bed were not functional). The art was not very inspiring, and the check-in person was not exactly friendly.

This was quite simply a nice place to be. Sure, I’d have been happier with some outside space, and probably a double rather than twin beds, but that’s all. It was just pleasant.

Nicely positioned for the Lake, and for the town and harbour.

…and I was excited about being where the Cod War discussions were held!
