I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Holt. The location was perfect--close to everything I wanted to do and yet quiet and calm. The staff was very helpful in making recommendations and giving directions. Gabriela greeted me by name when I got back to the hotel at the end of the day. Breakfasts were really good and sustaining. I loved their porridge with cooked apples on the side. When they didn't have it on the last day, they explained that Sundays were for pancakes (I think it was) but they were willing to make the porridge just for me. I declined but their offer felt good, a nice touch! The art lining the halls is inspiring. I would go back.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Simon and Katia were very kind. The breakfast and service was outstanding. My compliments to the interior decorator for the furnishings, art, and architecture. Beautiful hotel.

For a week, we were delighted to call Hotel Holt our home from home. It's location was perfect, quietly nestled amongst beautiful houses yet just a short walk from the city, it's shops, attractions, galleries, museums and transport links. We particularly loved the proximity to The Pond with it's wonderful bird life and sculpture trail. Another huge bonus to our stay were the delicious breakfasts - fresh food that really reflected Icelandic culture.

The Holt Hotel is in an excellent location, and easily within walking distance to the tourist district in Reykjavik. The rooms are lean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Overall, the hotel has a wonderful feeling of charm about it.. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Mediocre. Carpeting felt like it needed cleaning. No room darkening shades. If I wanted some air, I had toopen a door that would have given access to all the other rooms. Front desk workers acted like they didnt want to be bothered

All was good, except room temperature was in our opinion too warm and windows insufficient to cool it down. Nice hotel in a good location. We enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly and efficient.
