We have been regular guests on this hotel since we where young (i.e. more than 25 years), and the biggest change is the lowered service level, the less interesting menu in the restaurant and all the trucks driving at full speed through Cochem at night time to avoid road tax/maut on the autobahn. The owner family also owns another hotel "Kessler Meyer" not too far from this hotel - we can recommend this, if you want more "peace and quit" during the night time, and can live with further distance to the city.
