This is my 5th visit to the hotel over the last 10 years and have loved it each time. It's a real find, in the middle of a little village 2 stops after Calais, walking distance to fabulous beaches and views. I often use this hotel as a meeting place for friends from the UK as we live in Belgium.What makes it special every time is the welcome and friendliness of the owners. The rooms have been renovated which was great and they've done them really well and such excellent value for money. They even provide a room for 5 people which is unknown in the hospitality industry as far as I'm aware. The garden and play area belonging to the hotel is lovely with seating areas and tables so we were able to have a picnic in the garden. We always eat at the restaurant next door as it's so convenient, and also value for money, it's part of the hotel but different owners. The only negative I would give is that the restaurant people are not so friendly. However I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone, although I'm loathe to do so as it encourages more people to go so less chance of getting a booking!!!!

Très bon séjour passé avec nos deux enfants. Bel accueil, excellent petit déjeuner et très bon restaurant. A refaire lors de notre prochaine visite à la Cote d'Opale

Our visits to Hotel l'Escale are sadly only brief. We stay there when we arrive in France and we stay there for our last taste of France before we return to UK. It is always an enjoyable experience. We always have dinner in the hotel restaurant which adds substantially to the quality of our experience!
