Hotel L'Escale

Having stayed at the hotel on many occasions in the past 20 or so years we have never had reason to complain or find fault with anything.

As usual very good. Hotel perfectly situated with excellent Service.
Nice improvements.

Good place to stay at start or end of holiday. Only problem room 7 in hotel bath/shower very tight.

An excellent hotel either for a stopover or a short holiday. The owners and all the staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent. All at a very good price

Our favourite french hotel, close to the Auchan hyper marche.

Any time I have stayed at the Hotel the customer service and the room have been very good, no complaints. I tried the restaurant before and it was not good, the quality of how the food was cooked was not what you would expect of a restaurant but I decided to give it another try and the service was atrocious. I waited 15 minutes then had to ask whre was my drink. I then waited another five minutes (now 20 minutes) and had to ask, please, can I have some bread. Then after one hour I called the manger to ask where was my fish and when the fish arrived it was greasy and very badly cooked. I left to go to the outside lounge to have a coffe and some of your guests stopped and spoke with me to tell me how long they had waited and how with their fish they did not even get a slice of lemon. There was many many unhappy people in that restaurant who said they would not be back as not only the service was so very very bad but the food was very very mediocre. It would be nice to stay at your hotel and be able to get a meal at the restaurant as my car is always full of luggage and I cannot take it to an outside restaurant as it may get broken into so if you do not improve this restaurant I will have to find another place to stay in the future which has a good restaurant on site. By the way I was a single lady traveller and I was the last to get served, even the people at the table next to me were ordering their fromage and I was not even YET served my drink or my bread. My family have been in business for 40 years and have three restaurants and if I had a waitress and chef like I experienced on Wed. night June 25/2014 I would fire them both or I would be out of business very quickly but maybe it doesn't mater to you as you have a lot of passing trade but I can tell you a lot of people will not return and they tell their friends. I myself will never eat in that restaurant again, so don't get too comfortable with that attitude.

I was very happy with the general aspect , facilities and service. The hotel us in an excellent position for beach and hills walking and easy reach of the euro tunnel. It is in a peaceful pretty village with several restaurants.

we have stayed here many times and always found it extremely good so hope to see you all again very soon.
