Great for Eurotunnel and Citi Europe but nothing else in village. Heating and airconditioning was not workingalthough the room looked new or recently refurbished. The price was good at the discounted price paid, but perhaps not so good at the advertised rate as breakfast was extra and there were no coffee making facilities in the room. The service and and menu in the resaurant were good but for France the wine was poor for the price and the dessert menu was a big disappointment, just a big selection of ice creams, whereas the French normally do great tarts and desserts.

Excellent hotel, ideal place for a stop over prior or after channel crossing and much, much better than the usual chain of budget hotels. Really nice location, excellent comfortable and quiet room, and reasonable breakfast. Ate in the restaurant but was a little disappointed, could have been my poor menu choice but they were very busy and service was very slow. Meals from the fixed menus seemed better and quicker than the a la carte I chose.

Very pleasant overnight stay for us and dog. Staff welcoming and helpful. Although the restaurant was very busy staff were obliging and friendly. Food was excellent.

We usually dine out with friends when we stay at L'Escale so rarely use the restaurant.

We visit usually about twice a year, and always enjoy our stay. The hotel has expanded a lot since we first stopped there many years ago, but you still get the same warm welcome.
