It was our third time third year staying at the Plaza for Christmas. The Checkin staff was quite pleasant. The Junior Suite was not similar as last times with a smaller bathroom and no seal of disinfection on the toilet cover but overall good with an extremely comfortable bedding (we want the same for our home!).
One particular member of the breakfast staff at the Charleston was quite unpleasant. First of all when I asked him in English about the scrambled eggs, with an air of superiority, he responded he only spoke French. Well I'm bilingual so no issues there. Later when I picked up some mint tea sachets for the room since we ran out the previous day, the same person stopped me saying I shouldn't take as many. We were 3 to occupy the Junior Suite and with 5 sachet between the three of us, J don't know if it's too much for the Plaza to spare. Since we didn't want to ruin our morning, I offered to leave the sachets and have the housekeeping send them over to my room. Reluctantly he let me go. While the breakfast spread overall was quite good but this exchange left me with an unpleasant taste. I find it absolutely unacceptable to be treated in a likewise manner and am already planning not to come back to Brussels next year for Christmas.
