Great hotel, unique atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was also very nice!
The cleanness is perfect, but you might have problems if your nose is sensitive to carpets.

On many points, you get the score "very satisfied", but on two points, however, considerably less for what the hotel has and wants to convey.

Firstly, the breakfast, which in our opinion only just scores an adequate rating, while the ambience and history of the hotel should be able to command more than that. Especially the bread or non-prepacked bread products were cold, tough and not fresh every time! Furthermore, very few choices of cheese, meat and sweets.

Then the service, more specifically the way the staff present themselves. From a distance, we noticed that they walked around with little to no smile or cheerful attitude, which, at least for us, was very noticeable.

But Chauvinism also bothered us! Make sure anno 2024 you speak the language of the established country (Dutch) a district language (French) or dialect does not interest us! At the very least, also make sure you clearly speak English and German (neighbouring countries) instead of just French.

Furthermore, try to look at your customers with a smile at all times! And give them a good morning, afternoon and/or evening greeting, all of which is highly desirable but unfortunately did not happen. But also during breakfast sessions, it is important, that the staff presents an approachable attitude. Their usefulness goes beyond just clearing tables or quickly replenishing food and drinks.

In short, just some issues that we hope are improved next time!

Nice clean hotel with excellent service but little bit poor choice in breakfast.
