Hotel Lucerna Tijuana

Excelente

i booked a room with two beds, but that room was not available or any other with two beds. we were upgraded to a suite with a king size bed. it was fine and we made it work. we were next door to the happy hour/continental breakfast room which was very convenient. the continental breakfast was absolutely superb! i woke up in the morning and was standing in water in the middle of the floor. we were offered a change of room, but it wasn't necessary as we were checking out. luckily, that's the only place the water was and it wasn't a big deal. apparently a water main broke. things can happen. absolutely beautiful hotel, restaurant, and rooms. i was recommended to stay here and would definitely again.

Julia, the hostess on the fifth floor in the afternoons, is a true delight! She is cheerful, courteous, friendly and is most eager to assist in anyway she can.
Unfortunately, Jacqueline, the morning, hostess on the fifth floor, is rude, condescending, dismissive and nasty to Americans. I did not witness this rude behavior toward Mexicans. She could change her demeanor and expression from a scowl towards Americans to a bright smile toward Mexicans in an instant.
A server by the name of Jorge in the restaurant is a prince. A gentleman among men. All remaining staff were extremely pleasant, very courteous and always interested in taking care of the needs of us as your guests.
The sliding door in our room 600 does not have an operable lock. It would have been easy for someone to break into our room from an adjacent balcony.
We plan to stay at Hotel Lucerna during our next visit to Tijuana and we would recommend Hotel Lucerna to others.
