Good value and comfortable hotel

Overall experience was excellent. Location is also excellent as it is short walk to the main train station and the “U” subway system. Also many excellent German, middle eastern and other non-German restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Hint: take the closest U4/U5 subway one stop to Karlsplatz where you can then start your old city walk or switch to the “S” system to go to e.g. Marianplatz or anywhere else. This is shorter than a long walk to the “S” in the train station. Buy a daily group ticket for your family of up to 5.

The brekfeast can be better the eggs are not good but overall a very nice hotel. The service was exilent

Freundliches Hotel, Zimmer haben ein viel zu kleines Bad, die Matratzen waren deutlich zum hart, hatte morgens Rückenschmerzen. Lärm von der Baustelle gegenüber auch im Zimmer auf der Balkonseite zu hören!

danke für Ihren Besuch und Ihre Bewertung. Toll, dass Sie die freundliche Atmosphäre bei uns im Metropol geschätzt haben. Dass Sie auf der Matratze nicht so gut geschlafen haben, tut uns leid. Unsere Matratzen haben einen mittleren Härtegrad, sodass die meisten unserer Gäste sehr zufrieden damit sind. Welche Härte man von der Matratze bevorzugt, sind persönliche Vorlieben. Vielleicht sind Sie von zu Hause einfach eine weichere Matratze gewöhnt. Wir erhalten diesbezüglich eher sehr selten Beschwerden. Für den Baustellenlärm entschuldigen wir uns, auch wenn wir nichts dafür können. Die Bauarbeiten werden jedoch zeitig vor der Abendruhe beendet und bei geschlossenem Fenster ist in den Zimmern auch kaum etwas zu hören. Danke hier für Ihr Verständnis. In einer Großstadt kommt es einfach immer wieder zu Bau- und Straßenlärm. Es würde uns freuen, wenn Sie uns erneut besuchen kommen.

The front desk staff were especially helpful, welcoming and pleasant. The courtesy coffee machine in the lobby with its multiple choices was a terrific addition, and the cold water with lemon a welcome treat in the afternoon.
