Nice small hotel that was away from the crowds.

It was excellent except for the check out morning. At breakfast I had a very unfortunate incident of dealing with an angry prejudiced man and his wife who were guests there as well. I may have spoken a bit loudly for a few minutes on the phone. But they were terribly rude to me and he snatched my phone from my hand and walked away. I eventually got my phone back. All they had to do was politely tell me to lower my voice. I could hear them talking to each other, so why I cannot talk on the phone I did not understand.
I do understand you are not responsible for guest behavior. But what disappointed me was the polite but very metered reaction of the lady working the breakfast room and the front desk lady. Instead of acknowledging the couples horrible behavior they were “politely” telling me about French etiquette of not talking on phone when in restaurants!!! I am a seasoned traveler, I like to understand and behave as per local norms. But that man’s behavior was absolutely abominable and I felt that your stuff may have seemed polite but were absolutely siding with his horrible actions. That unfortunately was something I had to leave Paris with this time despite having an otherwise wonderful stay.
