Cons: The frequent thunder-like noise from the trams outside -- although somewhat deadened by the double glazed windows -- bothers you. However, you soon get used to it. It is well mentioning that every hotel in Wroclaw (save perhaps those in the very heart of the city) is saddled with this problem in that trams pass all over and around the entire city.


Pros: The location of the hotel is super - just across the road in front of the train and bus stations. The connection to the city centre is excellent with several bus/tram stops just opposite the hotel and loads of buses and trams pass by it all the time so it is just a 10 minute ride to the very centre of the city. The hotel's ambience is modern, nice and clean. The room is fairly sizable as well as the bathroom both of which were impeccably clean and tidy. Water/hot water in the bathroom was stable and the shower cubicle very convenient in that is it one and the same level of the bathroom floor. The beds/mattresses were fairly comfortable. The wi-fi is strong and stable both in the room as well as throughout the hotel. There is a flat screen TV in the room which we did not make use of. The inside of the hotel is very quiet and we were absolutely not bothered by any noise from the rooms next to us. The staff speak fairly good English and are helpful. The breakfast is basic but fairly good although we missed the toast. We had a kettle and two mugs in the room so we could make tea or coffee. We had two small bottles of mineral water daily. The hotel bistro serves a buffet style lunch and dinner payable according to the weight of the food you select. The food is varied and the price is cheap especially if you go at or after 7.00p.m. which is half price. So you can easily have a hearty meal complete with wine for just €5.
All in all we think this hotel is underrated as a two star hotel; a three or even a four star rating would do it more justice. We definitely got more than we expected for the price we paid and thus we definitely and unreservedly recommend it.

Excelente por el precio. Habitación confortable y amplia. Limpieza y buen desayuno. Trato amable. Nos alojábamos por segunda vez en este hotel porque ya nos había agradadado en nuestra primera estancia. Además la ubicación es inmejorable para el viajero, frente a la estación central y las paradas de innumerables tranvías y autobuses.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Piast, the staff were excellent, everything was spotlessly clean, the location was great and all at an amazing price. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you
