Overall, we were satisfied with the room and location. However, the bathroom was small, even by European standards…you had to sit at an angle on the toilet. The front desk staff were very nice, and helpful, storing our luggage on both our arrival and departure dates. The restaurant was another matter. First, it seemed like all the Americans were put in a back room rather than up front by the windows. Then, the service was lacking and we found out that the menu they gave us wasn’t available until after 6, which was an hour away.

As a first time visitor to France we found the hotel charming and the staff friendly and attentive. The central location is excellent for the guided tours as it is only 1 min walk to the pick up point. Sadly the British have saffled the Bayeux tapestry for the next two years or we would have enjoyed that also
