A nice, clean room close to the Botanical garden.

Excellent overall. Only small issue was unreliable wifi and having to log in each time.

I sent this formal complaint via email, but received no answer.


Subject: Stay of 7-9 May 2026, formal complaint regarding room hygiene


Dear Mr Profeta,

Following my remarks at checkout, I am writing to formally register a complaint regarding the state of the room during my stay from 7 to 9 May.

The bedsheets were not clean. I was itchy on both nights, and on the second night, having looked more carefully at the bed, I found long blonde hairs on the sheets and inside the bed itself. I was alone throughout the stay, so these were not mine. A photograph taken this morning is attached for reference.

This is a serious lapse in hygiene, well below the standard one expects from Hotel Mon-Repos.

It was ok. I've been there before. My workplace books this regularly. Prices have gone up a lot.

We have taken note of your remarks regarding the earplugs and the absence of cotton buds in the bathroom. We would like to mention that cotton buds are available in the amenities box located above the in-room safe. However, we understand that this may not have been sufficiently visible, and we will make every effort to improve the presentation and visibility of these amenities for our guests.

Your comments regarding the earplugs have also been shared with our team as we continuously review our services and amenities to enhance our guests' comfort.

Regarding your comment about pricing, we would like to clarify that the negotiated rates agreed with your institute have not increased since January 2024. We remain committed to offering the best possible value while maintaining the quality of our services and facilities.
