What an extraordinary experience. The view from our balcony room looking over the Rhein River as it rounds the bend in the distance was even better than I had hoped. The castle is on a bluff above the charming little town of Sankt Goar below. We even loved seeing the trains coming and going well below without disturbing us even once. Dinner at the restaurant was perfect (all fresh. local ingredients) and we had cocktails on a private stone balcony, original to the castle, overlooking the boat and barge traffic on the Rhein in front of us. There really aren't enough superlatives to describe the entire experience. You have to stay here! Book a balcony room, you won't regret it.
