Hotel Schloss Rheinfels

Zimmer 229 war sehr warm, bei offenen Fenster zu laut. Ein Lüfter wäre nützlich gewesen.
Glastür zum Bad ist bei nächtlicher Benutzung störend, da beim Licht einschalten die schlafende Person gestört wird.
Ansonsten alles sehr gut!

Klimaanlage wäre im Sommer noch toll.

Excellent. It made a wonderful base for exploring the Mosel and Rhine between Bingen and Koblenz. The 4/5 rating for our room must be taken in context: it was not air-conditioned, and it was very hot weather. BUT we were fully aware of this when we booked, and managed quite well with the balcony doors open. Perhaps a fan, next time? The room was large and water-pressure excellent. The parking was quite sufficient, and the service irreproachable. Special mention for Simona(?) our waitress in the cafe, who managed not to lose her sense of humour and professionalism despite a heavy customer load and the afore-mentioned very hot weather. The swimming pool in the spa was a delightful cool ,refuge from the heat (and no doubt a warm one in the winter!) It certainly helped our experience that the adjoining Schloss was not only one of the more historically significant of the many around but has a small but very well curated museum, and friendly English-speaking staff at the castle entrance. Two suggestions: (1) there is a lovely terrace but no bar to go with it - the hotel would, I think, do good business providing cold beer and wine there; (2) dine early (by 7.00) or late (after 7.45) as demand for the window tables is very high during the 7.00 to 8.00pm period, and you may have to settle for a table in a less attractive spot.

Sehr schön, aber der Ventilator hat im Zimmer gefehlt.

Net hotel, geen super luxe, maar alles prima. Restaurant is goed, nette bediening. De bedden zijn fantastisch.
Met deze hete dagen was een ventilator op de kamer handig geweest want er is geen airco.

Herzlicher Empfang, ausnahmslos alle MitarbeiterInnen waren stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Überall herrschte eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker, das Essen im Restaurant ausgezeichnet. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Tolle Lage mit wundervollem Blick auf den Rhein. Tolles Ambiente als Schlosshotel.
Aber: Das Hotel hat einen Lift, den man erst nach Überwindung einer Etage erreicht. Dann fährt er nicht die oberste Etage an. Als Schwerbehinderter ist mir das Erreichen des Zimmers mit dem Lift schon wichtig.
Die Rezeptionistin darauf hingewiesen, erhielt ich ein anderes Zimmer, das mit dem Lift auch vom Erdgeschoss aus erreichbar war.
Bei der Preislage des Hotels hätte ich zum Frühstück ein Glas Sekt erwartet.
Alles in allem ein sehr guter Aufenthalt.
