I always base my reviews on what my expectations were. The hotel is listed as 3 star and it exceeded my expectations. I chose it because it is a short (20 minute) walk to the nearby castles. It is also a reasonable drive to Linderof Palace and on a lark, I did a day trip to Innsbruck, so it makes a nice base to explore the region.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I booked a single and got a single bed. There wasn't air-conditioning, but in this region, that is more the norm and wasn't needed. Breakfast was included with the room and the options were those of the standard continental breakfast. There was one exception. There were no scrambled eggs, however, you could have an egg either fried or boiled. I personally found this nice as I'm not a huge scrambled eggs fan. There is a restaurant that is part of the hotel and the food was solid Bavarian fare. This is a family run establishement, so the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays (breakfast is still available). Parking was free.
Overall, a solid option if you want to explore the Allgau region of Germany.
