As requested here is a summary of my stay at 'The West End Hotel'
They day we arrived to check in at 3pm we were told the room wasn't ready and to come back in an hour, we returned at 4pm and given key cards to our room, when we entered someone was still staying in the room. We then had to return to reception where we were given another room, the cleanliness was terrible please see pictures in previous email. We requested internet service when we booked which again was terrible kept cutting out and having to log in. We had an issue with the air conditioning not working and was told there was nothing they could do as the hotel was fully booked. We had to have an additional key card as after the room was cleaned the card left in the wall for the electricity was missing. I went down to reception where no one was at the desk, I could the security who advised the receptionist was asleep on the sofa in the waiting area. After numerous attempts by the security she stumbled to reception where she made a new key card and didn't ask for identification (I could of been anyone). We asked the hotel to provide a plate, knife and fork so we could eat fruit, we were asked for a €10 deposit.

I amazed at the level of service given by this hotel... I have never had such an unpleasant stay anywhere before, this is magnified by the cost of the hotel for the duration and not received any kind of service or hospitality.

With reference to your email we have had no member of staff either Emanuela of her manager approach us.

I would like to be fully refunded, as I feel this is totally unacceptable

West End is a wonderful old world haven in the madhouse of Nice! We love it( especially room 517!) and will be back for a few nights in 2-3 years.
