Rick Steves was right - Hotel Kastanienhof was economical and a lovely stay - two adjectives you do not often see together when traveling. The room was exactly what I needed as I returned after a day of busy sight-seeing - clean, bright, large, with a nice bathroom. It was also very quiet. The staff were lovely and the breakfast offered options for all palates and cultures. Getting to any of my destinations was very easy too. The tram stop was very close to the hotel. I will someday return to Berlin and I will definitely stay at Hotel Kastanienhof again! Thanks for welcoming me to Berlin!
