Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir konnten uns gut erholen und haben unseren Aufenthalt im Klosterhotel Ludwig der Bayer sehr genießen können. Sehr schön fanden wir auch, dass zum Frühstück kein starres Zeitfenster vorgegeben wurde und wir flexibel zum Frühstück kommen konnten

Breakfast was very good and room was spacious.
Everything else: Expensive and underwhelming.
2 things ruined it for me:
1) Staff told us we could eat at the hotel’s restaurant until 22:00 but the kitchen closes at 21:30. We made a reservation at 21:00 and we expected to be able to get any food from the menu since we got there 30 mins before the kitchen supposedly closes. When we went to the restaurant actually 10 minutes before 9, the waiter told us we can only have soup and one salad from the menu since its too late. It would have been nice if the staff told us to go earlier than 9 if we wanted to get some food. Especially considering nothing else was open near by for us to get food. (And the hotel is relatively remote)
2) we had payed through booking.com (i have done this in many hotels in the past and never had a problem) but the staff somehow insisted 2-3 times while checking out that we hadn’t payed. As it can be imagined, that was quite of an awkward moment. Some other staff member came later and clarified we had payed but only some touristic tax was missing. However, we didn’t receive an actual apology for the confusion.
I have been to other 4 star hotels and honestly felt this hotel didn’t meet the expectations.

Also im allgemeinen waren wir dieses Jahr (trotz Corona-Maßnahmen) sehr zufrieden.
Leider haben wir aber beim Besuch des Restaurant ziemlich negative Erfahrungen machen müssen. Obwohl der Oberkellner sehr aufmerksam und äußerst bemüht war, hatten wir doch ziemliche Kommunikationsprobleme mit den Tischkellnern/Kellnerinnen. Teilweise verstanden sie unsere Sprache anscheinend nicht. In den vergangenen Jahren waren wir vermutlich zu verwöhnt worden mit aufmerksamen Personal das sich wirklich um die Gäste bemüht hat, und mal ein nettes Wort gewechselt hat.

Ich habe mich runum wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel und meine FeWo "Specht" haben auf mich einen sehr guten Eindruck gemacht. Ich habe sie auch schon empfohlen.
