I enjoyed a most delightful 11 nights at le Refuge. The courtesy and friendliness of Capucine, Guillaume and Bob was such that it was like staying with longstanding but dignified friends. If I am fit to ski next season, I shall return! I now know that a French hotel of this size and classification has to have a lift but, as this was not obvious from the website, it came as a lovely surprise for getting to and from my excellent room on the 4th floor.
