Hôtel bien situé à côté des transports en commun, des commerces. Très bien au niveau qualité/prix.Chambre propre confortable et calme. Petit déjeuner copieux avec une plage horaire intéressante.
Personnel attentif aux clients.

I know what I am getting, and that is what I like. I like the layout of the hotel, the lobby area (which is great for a coffee or a chat when we travel with more than one generation in different rooms, like we did for part over our visit this time), the big windows and the fact that even the single rooms (visited one this stay) are smart, and quite big (these are often not a priority everywhere).

One of the things that REALLY bugged me this time was the water pressure in the shower. At times it was great (better than most other places), at other times bad (still possible to rinse body but not wash hair) and then really bad (impossible to rinse, just dripping)... Up to the point where I got stuck in the shower with my hair all soaped up... and the water completely disappeared. Got pretty cold just standing there not knowing if it would come back, but it did return after 15 minutes that time. After that episode, showering the next days got a little stressful, because we always tried to hurry before the water disappeared again or got really low. The water kept being pretty unreliable, but in between it was superb pressure again. We had family staying in lower floors, and it was supposedly the same there. Never experienced this in previous stays at his hotel. There were road works, and they were digging up the street below, so maybe that had something to do with it? In that case some information would have been great, allthough we managed anyways. Luckily this was a recreational trip for us this time, so the days we got late because of the shower did not matter as much as if we had a meeting or somewhere else we had to be at a certain time.

We did get a chocolate santa at our door one morning, but this time we did not understand exactly why. One member of the family thought is was because it had been noisy in the morning due to the roadworks? We have gotten these chocolate santas earlier, e.g when there was fire-alarm in the middle of the night. And then we got an even bigger one, when we experienced a nightly fire-alarm twice during the same stay. So I believe this is their way to say they are sorry to all the guests. This is a small, but still very appreciated gesture I must say. It is a wordless communication that says something like: "ooops, something went wrong. We acknowledge your stress, and we are sorry. Please excuse us, and have this chocolate as a small compensation." You know what? It works, you are forgiven every time. At least by us. Even when we don't know if it is because of the noise, or the failing showers. ;)

One of the (and maybe the only) really not great things about this hotel is the ventilation, or more accurate: the almost complete lack of it! The carpeted hallways smell really funky, and the first thing we do when we get to our room is always to open all windows to get rid of the smell in it. We always shower with at least one window open, as there is no incoming air in the bathroom (even with holes in the lower part of the door it is not enough, and you can see air i being sucked in around e.g. light fittings in the ceiling or the toilet button on the wall). We also keep a window just a little open when leaving the room during daytime. The times we forget to keep a window open.... The room smell funky again when we return. The windows are nice, they are pretty soundproof and open in two different positions, so one can both change all of the air in the room in approx. 2 mins. or just keep it a bit ventilated during sleep. I understand that it is not easy to make a hotel out of a poorly ventilated office-building, but I do hope this issue might improve in the future. I do LOVE that you got rid of the carpets inside the rooms some years ago, as the rooms smell much better without them.
