Tranquil - calm, clean and homely. Very tasty food. Lovely views of power station (would be good if you could tour the power station - it looked very interesting). Saw the Northern Lights - which was magical even if there was a strong smell of sulphur. Cake for breakfast was awesome. Very kind and friendly staff. Would have loved to have met and stroked Max. Great coffee at breakfast.

We had the time of our lives! We were only in Iceland for about 36 hours, but managed to visit the Blue Lagoon and see the Northern Lights in that time (ps. They looked a lot better on than camera than in real life but they were there!)

We couldn’t get over the tranquility of the Northern Light hotel. So very peaceful and the perfect place to go relax, if needed.

The location for the blue lagoon was ideal and the complimentary minibus was the cherry on the cake. We stayed at the blue lagoon for about 7 hours!

The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful: Fridrik especially so, from the moment we began messaging after booking.

Everything, some how, culminated in the most incredible moment. We couldn’t believe we received the “this is your wake up call for the Northern lights” room
call. We also couldn’t believe the brightest falling star that fell from the sky under the northern lights shortly before I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend.

Thank you Fridrik and the Northern Light Hotel - we’ll for sure be back for our joint stag/hen trip :)

Such a lovely place to stay. the staff were so friendly and the hotel is cosey. It's perfect being so close to the blue lagoon but there isn't a town in walking distance but that suited us fine!

We lived our stay...a short 20 minutes from the airport, it's a perfect place to see the northern lights.

Wonderful service, welcoming, warm happy to help for all questions. We needed an early breakfast, it wasn’t a problem.
The location is 2 minutes from the blue lagoon, but next to industrial area, nevertheless it didn’t effect us.
The room is clean and comfortable.
