I love the Northern Lights Inn! The room was amazing, the food was amazing, and everything was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Iceland. This hotel is pure wonders.

Getting here was a little bit of a challenge without a car. The bus dropped us off at Silica Inn which is about 10 minute walk from NIL on partially gravel road. But once we got to the hotel, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were big and beds were comfortable. The restaurant was good but wished if there were a little more variety of food considering this is the only place to eat if you are staying here without a car. I enjoyed this hotel way more than I enjoyed Blue Lagoon, which was so touristy. Next time, I will rent a car and stay at this hotel for several nights. I also got to see some spectacular aurora when I was here, so, this was a bonus!

Hi Asako Endo, many thanks for your kind words. You are right, it is better to have a car. We do however have a shuttle between our hotel and the Blue Lagoon so we can pick up guests taking the bus to the blue lagoon and take them to the hotel but we are 1.5km away from the lagoon.
