Getting here was a little bit of a challenge without a car. The bus dropped us off at Silica Inn which is about 10 minute walk from NIL on partially gravel road. But once we got to the hotel, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were big and beds were comfortable. The restaurant was good but wished if there were a little more variety of food considering this is the only place to eat if you are staying here without a car. I enjoyed this hotel way more than I enjoyed Blue Lagoon, which was so touristy. Next time, I will rent a car and stay at this hotel for several nights. I also got to see some spectacular aurora when I was here, so, this was a bonus!

Hi Asako Endo, many thanks for your kind words. You are right, it is better to have a car. We do however have a shuttle between our hotel and the Blue Lagoon so we can pick up guests taking the bus to the blue lagoon and take them to the hotel but we are 1.5km away from the lagoon. Well organized, very accommodating, helpful staffs and feels like you’re home. Love the ambience. Just disappointed that northern Light didn’t show up on the day that we were there!

We debated starting or ending our Iceland trip here (close to the Blue Lagoon and the airport). And while starting here would have been amazing I am so glad we spent our last night here. Staff were kind and helpful. It was so nice to sit in the lounge and reflect on our trip while having some coffee. You've created a beautiful welcoming space and we are grateful.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was very friendly and our service to and from the airport was so easy as was our shuttle to and from the blue lagoon which was just 5 min away.

this was an excellent place to relax and enjoy the scenery of Iceland. The proximity to the Blue Lagoon was wonderful.

I was concerned when we got out of our car and heard the noise from the power plant. I was relieved that once we were inside there was no noise! I liked the location because it was close to the Blue Lagoon! I also enjoyed the view from our bedroom window of just lava, very cool!

Fantastic! Best food we ate our entire trip! I’m still thinking about the root vegetable soup! So delicious! And more reasonably priced than the rest of the area.
