Was a great experience. Walking distance from the Blue Lagoon. Clean with very friendly and helpful people working at both the hotel and the restaurant. Loved the sign up sheet to be called at night if the northern lights were visable! The honesty bar was a great place to read and enjoy a coffee, tea or drink with really comfortable seating and a great view. I highly recommend this hotel!

Can’t quite accept that you offer the possibility of awaking the guests during the night if there was an aurora, the aurora came and the night shift didn’t awake us!!
Unacceptable.

Dear Sandra Castro Coelho, thank you for your review and rating. It happens that guests think they have seen the aurora but sometimes this is a light from the moon in the sky. We have a system we use that will automatically call the rooms that have listed. So either the system had some failure or we did not have the aurora or they were to weak for us to take a decision to wake our guests up. We do hope to see you again.

Absolutely loved the hotel, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the restaurant was perfect - just what we needed. We enjoyed the location and the area around the hotel was beautiful. We look forward to returning soon.

The hotel is very well managed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The services available is great. It is also fairly good value for money in Iceland. Check in and out was efficient and quick. Loved the coffee and hot chocolate station late at night when watching the lights.

My recent visit was my second time at NLI. I have nothing negative to say. I stayed in deluxe rooms both times. The quiet-closing doors are a special touch, as is the overall quiet in the hotel. It is a peaceful, restful place. The Blue Lagoon shuttle is an appreciated service, making NLI even more appealing. I hope to stay there again!
