I stayed at the NLI many years ago. I also still met Max, the dog. NLI hasn’t changed much, that is good .
Restaurant has improved.
Beds are very comfortable.

But furniture is broken ( the little footstool in my room). The loops from the Bath robe are hanging loose.

I missed the „last detail“, a real awareness for the little things ..

We were there only for one night before flying out the next morning, but I was very impressed with the level of customer service both before and during our stay. It’s proximity to the Blue Lagoon is of course also very helpful, but this is a very good hotel.

While I do recommend this hotel because it was quiet, clean, and a convenient location (easy to get to airport--and close to Blue Lagoon if one was interested in that overpriced, tourist-trap), I was expecting something more upscale--for the price. Bad points: constant rumble from the geothermal plant right next door (if windows were open, as ours needed to be, due to warm weather), and a bathroom sink that was so tiny that just carefully washing hands meant water ended up on the floor. Good points: Good sized room. Quiet (except for the geothermal plant which was more of a "white noise" issue.) Clean. Comfortable bed. Loved the heated towel rack.

Overall, it was great. It was a perfect place to end our trip before heading to the airport.

It’s a very relaxing hotel, got many comfort chairs to sit down and enjoy the view. The room is also spacious and comfort.
